Smart Cities Datasets and Applications Ecosystem: An Exploratory Analysis
My presentation in CEDEM- 2015.
Adressing the problem on how to promote ecosytems around smart cities in EU, how to make it sustainable, from a multistakeholder approach. This is how the digital transformation of businesses is impacting to the smart cities. We’ll realize of this change in the coming months.
While, we will keep investing on open data and data-driven servicies without what is the real return of investment. Possibly the return is much higher than expected and we are missing an opportunity. It also points to the problem of passive open government (only participate those interested on government participation) vs active government (in which goverment looks for participation according to the target groups, not just activists)
